Dane Anderson is a Partner at Bain & Company in Washington, DC and is a member of the firm’s Retail and M&A practices. He has extensive experience working with large retailers, primarily supporting major transformations. His M&A project portfolio includes due diligence, pre-merger planning, and post-merger transformation for both corporate and private equity clients. In addition to his work in retail, Dane is involved in Bain’s Higher Education and K-12 Education practices.

Between his times at Bain, Dane spent eight years as the COO and CFO of KIPP DC, the largest charter school network in the District of Columbia. Dane was also a 2007 Teach For America Corps Member in rural New Mexico where he taught 7th and 8th grade math.

Dane holds dual degrees in political science and economics from the University of North Carolina and an MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business. He is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying running, skiing, and fly fishing. He and his family reside in Washington, DC and his two children attend Hearst Elementary in Ward 3.
