Erin is a Senior Manager on the Advocacy team, where her work helps to advance equity, accountability, and autonomy for District schools and students. Having spent her entire career in education, Erin has been deeply committed to improving public education and invested in dismantling the barriers that perpetuate inequity.

Prior to joining Education Forward DC, Erin worked in the Office of the Chief of Staff at the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE). Her portfolio included support for cross-agency initiatives, research and analysis on agency priorities, and performance management. Earlier in her career, Erin held roles in education policy and advocacy at the local and national levels, serving in organizations such as Chiefs for Change, Teach Plus, and the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education (DME). Erin began her career in education as a fourth-grade teacher in Wilmington, Delaware. Erin graduated from the University of Virginia, where she earned a BA in Sociology, and Wilmington University, where she earned an M.Ed. in Elementary Education.

A first-generation American raised in Pennsylvania, Erin has called DC home since 2013. She lives in Ward 5 with her husband and Golden Retriever, with whom she enjoys exploring DC and rooting for Philly sports teams from behind enemy lines.
