Camila is an Analyst on the Advocacy team, working on the advancement of equity, accountability, and autonomy in support of students in DC. As a proud first generation American, Camila believes deeply in the impact that an excellent education can have on the lives of children, especially those within English language learner programs. Camila started her career in education as a fellow within Boston Public Schools, supporting new teacher training and orientation. She then spent 2016 organizing parents in a predominately Latinx Boston neighborhood, advocating for better schools in their communities. Prior to joining Education Forward DC in 2019, Camila was the Operations Analyst at Feedback Labs, a nonprofit supporting the largest network of domestic and international organizations focused on constituent voice. Camila earned a BA in Economics and International Relations from Boston University with a focus on Latin American economic development. Born in Buenos Aires, Camila is proud to call Petworth home. You can usually find her in one of the DC public libraries, trying a new exercise class, or looking for the district’s best coffee.
